We are Evergreen Bible Church
The Bible is the foundation of what we do.
At Evergreen Bible Church, our purpose is:

 To learn and live God’s Word in love

 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
(Matthew 28:19)

 

We purpose to LEARN God’s Word

In large group worship
In small group discipleship
In personal time with God

They are not just idle words for you; they are your life.
(Deuteronomy 32:47)

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God
may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We purpose to LIVE God’s Word

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
(James 1:22)

APPLICATION: We work to develop a regular practice of applying God’s Word in our lives every time we are in the Bible.

ACCOUNTABILITY: We need the help of our fellow believers to know what changes are needed in our lives and to hold us accountable for making them.

We purpose to LOVE one another

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
(John 13:35)

The primary fruit of living out God’s Word should be the display of love in all our relationships. This starts at home and then extends from there into the world.
