Evergreen Bible Church’s Women’s Ministries consists of women loving God and others by helping each other become firmly connected to Christ and to the body of believers through knowing Him, growing in Him, serving Him, and sharing Him. We do that through:

The Women’s Ministries Team meets every 3rd Monday to plan the direction, programs, and events of Women’s Ministries. The meetings are open to all women.

SERVICE TEAMS

QUILTING TEAM: This team of women meet once a month to make quilts for Open House Ministries and others.

RETREATS

WOMEN’S AWAY RETREAT: Our biennial (every other year) away Women’s Retreat will next occur in 2010. This is a great time to renew our souls and connect with our sisters as we drink in the serene beauty of God’s creation. We relax and enjoy great fellowship with other EBC women and focus on a Biblical theme planned by the Retreat Planning Team.

WOMEN’S DAY RETREAT: Day retreats provide similar opportunities as the away retreats for Christian female fellowship and spiritual growth and renewal in a more condensed, convenient and affordable format. The 2008 Refresh & Renew Retreat and this year’s Beth Moore DVD Seminar are our two recent day retreats.  We hope to increase the number of day retreats to meet more of the needs of the growing EBC women’s population. How much we can do depends on how many women step forward to help us plan and produce these events.

GATHERINGS AND EVENTS

Women’s Ministries sponsors gatherings or events to encourage EBC women in their walk with Jesus and relationships with each other and to reach out to those not of the EBC body.

PAST EXAMPLES:  Christmas tea, informational luncheon, exercise class, movie and game nights, Walking Women outings, benefits for Christian charities, mother/child activities, and more.

There are so many ideas and possibilities - the more women who are willing to plan and produce the gatherings and events, the more we can do!

Gatherings and events are publicized through the EBC weekly bulletin, the weekly EBC e-mail, flyers, and the like.

CHRISTMAS EVENT:  Each year near Christmas, we have a special outreach event just for women. Past events have included: teas or dinners, crafts, gift exchanges, performances, and speakers.

WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN BOOK CLUB:  Beginning in September 2009, the Women’s Christian Book Club has been reading and then meeting once a month to discuss a Christian book, fiction and non-fiction.

LIFE GROUPS

Each Life Group varies in subject, style, time, and location. All rely on the Bible as their foundation. It is most often in Life groups that the closest relationships are formed. The current Life Groups listing is located on the EBC flyers board in the foyer under Adult Life Groups. Some of those are exclusively for women; others are for men and women.
