It was great to see all of the students at youth group last night. As always, here’s a little review on what we did to keep you “in-the-know.”

Last night was our review and game night. We started by singing some songs in praise to the Lord, and then moved into a time of Jeopardy, which related to the past three weeks of study that we’ve done in John chapters 19, 20, and 21. Playing review games like this is always such an encouraging way to see the students actively think back to the text, get into their Bible to look things up, and have a good time as they work together as teams. After Jeopardy, Stacy Walters led us in an awesome game in which the students had to hunt through newspapers to find little bits of information he had picked out. It was god fun. Overall, the night was great, and a good chance for the students to catch their breath, and connect with each other.

Next week, we’ll start a new series in which we’ll be covering questions that your students have come up with. The list includes questions like: “If God has already decided our fate, why are we held accountable for our actions?”, “What is the rapture?”, and “Why is homosexuality bad… Doesn’t God want us to love everyone?” I really believe that this will be a helpful series for the students, and I think it’ll create some great space for conversation between you and your kids.

That’s all for now. Until then, I’ll be praying Romans 15:13 over you and your students: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
