Hi Youth Group Parents, Families, and Staff,

Tomorrow evening, instead of sending out a video message for youth group, we are going to do a live Zoom chat with the youth group students. If you’ve never used Zoom before, it’s a safe video chat room that enables our group to be able to see each other’s faces and communicate with one another. If you’ve never used Zoom before, below you will see a short guide on how to get it set up.

We’ll start our Zoom meeting at 6:30 pm. If you would like to participate, please fill out this form to receive details.

Please note that when your student enters the Zoom room, they will be muted at first. This is to prevent everyone trying to talk at once and overwhelming all of us (LOL). We will start with a fun game called “Quiplash.” It’s a game that’s a lot like Balderdash, and we’ll be able to do it together over the internet. Then, I’ll lead a short devo, and we’ll break out in within Zoom into our regular small groups so that our small group leaders can check in with the students, and that small groups can connect. The whole meeting will be around an hour long.

Myself, and the youth staff are looking forward to interacting with your students tomorrow!

If you’ve never used Zoom before:

On a computer:

  • Download the Zoom App here (it’s free) – https://zoom.us/download
  • Note: Your computer must have a camera/microphone equipped for us to hear/see your student

On a smart phone:

  • Download the Zoom App

Again, if any of you or your families are in need in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ll be happy to do whatever I can to help provide for physical needs, resources, ideas, and prayer support for you and your families.

Looking forward to tomorrow evening!

With you and for you in Christ,

Ryan Aufenkamp
