Sermon Questions: “Come Here”

May 3, 2020

The title of the sermon is “Come Here”. What do you think of when you hear those two words together? Do you agree that “In Jesus, God was looking at the people and saying with crystal clarity, ‘Come here.’”?

Why would a loving Savior denounce these towns that He had been in and blessed so many people in (v.20-24)? What do you think Jesus would say in regard to our city, state, country?

What do you think Jesus meant when He said, “you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children”? Why was Jesus praising the Father here?

What is the “rest” that Jesus is offering in verse 28?

Toby said that Jesus offers “Peace with God” and “Power for work”. Which of these two gifts do you need to spend some time meditating on and praising God for today?

“God, you are good and in charge. I need to trust and obey You.” Why is this simple statement often so hard to live out?

What area of your life might God be calling you to give to Him in order to find “rest”? Will you trust Him enough to give it to Him? Pray about it now.
