December 21, 2020
We are officially on Christmas break, which means that we will not have youth group on December 23rd, or December 30th.
As we turn the corner on this difficult year, it might be a good exercise to sit down with your kids and write down the things that God used as blessings throughout it. When we look back and recount all the hard stuff, sometimes we realize that God was using the hard stuff as a way to grow us and shape us. Perhaps your kids will surprise you with some things that they found that God turned for good in the midst of difficulty.
I also want to remind you all that the first week back to youth group, Wednesday January 6th, we will be partaking in our annual After Christmas Christmas Party! You can view the flyer that our youth staffer Skylar put together here. We’ll be doing a White Elephant gift exchange, so be sure to have you students bring something that’s wrapped with a $5 value or less! Also, like every year we’ll be having an ugly Christmas sweater contest, so have your students wear their ugliest!
I sincerely hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I will be in touch with further details about the next youth group series after the New Year Starts.
As always, if your students, or yourselves ever need anything: resources, time to meet and chat, etc., please don’t hesitate to reach out.
With you and for you in Christ,
Ryan Aufenkamp
