I Touched a Miracle

I already knew the story. I had followed it closely and prayed along with them as it was unfolding a year ago. But hearing Tom and Debbie Wood testify to the church body of God’s miraculous deliverance from Debbie’s deadly sarcoma cancer pumped life into my soul. It truly is one of the greatest miracles I have witnessed.
The chance to savor Debbie’s healing came at a particularly good time for me. As we prepared to pray together before the Sunday services began, I put my hand on her shoulder. She was warm. Strength and vitality were obviously present as she prepared to share her story. The feeling of life under my touch made me want to weep with happiness. In the recent spate of memorial services I have done, here was one I did not have to do. Our dear sister’s funeral has been postponed indefinitely and so we had a party instead!
If you weren’t at Evergreen last weekend, I encourage you to listen to their testimony. Even if you were present, you will be blessed to hear it again, and you will have another opportunity to fulfill 2 Corinthians 1:11. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
