We are starting back up with our teachings tomorrow evening. We will continue looking at the attributes of God. The attribute we will dive into is grace as we look at what Jesus did for us on the cross. We will retrace the history of where sin came from and what sin is, so our students are reminded of how serious the crucifixion of Jesus was.
We are starting a new series for the apologetic spotlight. It is called, “What’s the Difference.” This will help our students understand the major belief systems throughout the world. It will help them form questions and learn how to interact with people of various religions such as Catholicism, Mormonism, Jehovah Witness, Islam, and more. The hope here is to have students have a basic idea of these major religions, while acknowledging that they all have variations that stem from them that we will not be covering. Furthermore, the reason I want our students to learn how to interact with those of various religions is because if someone says they’re Catholic, having these short apologetic spotlights does not mean we now know everything about that person and what they believe.
We will finish our time in small groups discussing how the grace of God continues to impact us today.
