Last night we finished Mark chapter 4. Josh and Arthur talked about how we are called to be a light in a dark world, as well as not fearing the challenges we might face. We were reminded that if we serve a God who can make blind people see, bread fall from heaven, water come out of a rock, and dead people rise again, then He surely can help us through the challenges we might face.
We concluded our evening in small groups where we discussed in greater detail on what it looks like to be a light in the world.
Apologetic Spotlight
Last night we started a new series on evidence for the resurrection of Jesus. I started us off by combating one argument that is often brought up, which is the disciples made up the resurrection story to gain fame. One major reason that is most likely not true is because women were first to the tomb. If you would like to know more about what was discussed in the spotlight, feel free to click the link below!

Security Need
Recently we have had an influx of homeless come into the church during youth group. While this is a great opportunity to help the community around us, our student’s safety is our main priority. As we proceed with youth group throughout the year, we would love to have a rotation of a once-a-month basis where we would have someone in the foyer from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Currently we have a couple parents who are willing to help, but I would like to have a few more so we can get a rotation going. If you feel like you have the bandwidth, please reach out to me so I can start the rotation. I would love to provide further details on what this would look like. Thank you for your consideration.
