Last night we spent the majority of the night in our small groups getting aquatinted with each other and the small group leaders. 🙂 We had the students study through Galatians 6:1-5, and Ephesians 4:1-6 in order to pull out principles that would help to guide our future small group meetings. The gist was that the Scriptures call us to: bear each others burdens, confess sin openly, and to respond to sin in someone else’s life with gentleness. Our group also talked about humility, and the key part that humility plays in group settings. Distracting the rest of the group for your own agendas or entertainment is NOT an attitude of humility.

It was a good night to meet and get connected with each other.

Just a reminder: NEXT WEEK we are having a joint worship and prayer night at EBC with 3 other youth group. The focus is on gathering together to pray for the schools that we represent in Clark County, and to pray for our individual witness in those schools as Christians. It will be a REALLY encouraging night, one that your students won’t want to miss. 🙂

The following week is PARENT NIGHT (Sept. 29th) in which we’ll spend the majority of the evening getting to know Matt Arnett, and asking questions about the what the transition process is going to look like over the next year.

With you and for you in Christ.
