YOUTH GROUP RECAP

Last night at youth group we had an apologetics spotlight focusing on the reliability of scripture. We discussed the importance of historical manuscripts and compared the reliability of the Bible to other historical documents written around the same time period. Our ability to go back and compare our Bibles today to historical translations and copies far exceeds any other written document in human history. This gives us confidence that what we read today is what was originally intended to be written down for God’s people.

For our lesson, we continued our gospel series by looking at the salvation Jesus has provided for us! We studied Ephesians 2:1-10 which communicates God’s response to our sin. Because of Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension, Ephesians 2 communicates that (1) we have been made alive, (2) we have been saved by grace, and (3) we are God’s workmanship. This is a gift we do not deserve! The King of the universe has chosen to place those who have rebelled and rejected His authority in a place of honor because what Christ has done for us!

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to ask your teens what has stood out to them at youth group. Even if they do not remember many details, this week is an awesome opportunity to reflect on the Good News of what Christ has done for His people!
