Spanish Family Camp!

What an exciting first month! It is so refreshing for me and my family to be part of the great Evergreen Bible Church Family; every person we have had the chance to exchange some words with has showed us so much love and joy as we give our first steps of service and participation at this “One Church, Two Languages” unique organism we all get to experience at this side of eternity.
Both groups of people are becoming part of us while we strive to integrate every itty-bitty part of us to this precious body of Christ. Of course, our concentration in the Spanish-speaking side of EBC demands most of our time and action, so here is our latest point of amazement on how the Lord is doing great things amongst us:
The weekend of July 7-9 gathered us at the Cougar Park Campground. There we had our 9th Family Camp attended by around 90 people, most of whom stayed the two nights with us; some 20 just came for a family day out on Saturday. Saturday morning we celebrated a Bible and worship service where three people made their profession of faith in Jesus, and five came in obedience to be baptized! It was a blessing to have so many significant conversations with one family after another providing us with time for bonding and ministering to one another.
Our Heavenly Father is working within the hearts of children, youth and adults, bringing them under conviction on how to get closer to Him, and more committed to His church. This time of fun fellowship and spiritual edification gave us both types of nurturing while we were breaking bread, praying and sharing life with each other. It sure brought Psalm 133:1 to life: “Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Counting on your prayers,
Pastor Joe Gutierrez
