Training Day – A Ministry Equipping Event
We have a great event coming up at the end of February that I want to let you know about. We are calling the event Training Day – A Ministry Equipping Event. We have ten unique workshops (and likely one more in Spanish coming soon!) that will provide high quality training from well-qualified teachers who have attained a level of expertise in their fields.
I am really hoping that many of you will take advantage of this great opportunity to receive good ministry training. You wouldn’t be able to attend all ten classes, but you could attend two or three, depending on how you plan your schedule. You can sign up on the EBC Website, and you can also read fuller description of each workshop there, too. The list below is very abbreviated info about each of the current offerings.
- Basic Counseling Skills (3 Hour Workshop with professional counselors, providing you with tools to care well for others.)
- Keeping Kids Connected (2 Hour Workshop on keeping kids connected to you and to their faith.)
- Bible Study Methods (3 Hour Workshop that will equip you with tools to study the Bible with confidence.)
- Creating a Place of Belonging (2 Hour Workshop about ministering to individuals and families impacted by disabilities.)
- Jesus and The Book of Genesis on Health and Safety for Children (A 2 Hour Workshop to equip you to train your kids about human sexuality, sexual health, and safety.)
- Social Media & Relationships (2 Hour Workshop on the impact of social media and what to do about it.)
- Leading Learning that Grows (3 Hour Workshop on effective teaching methods.)
- Supporting the Neurodiverse (1 Hour Workshop on understanding and caring for people who experience neurodiversity.)
- What Do I Do Now? Finding True Fulfillment in Following Christ (2 Hour Workshop on taking next steps in discipling others in the faith.)
- Seeing, Serving, and Responding to Homelessness (1 Hour Workshop on caring for the needs of the homeless community around us.)
Each workshop is being offered free of charge by the teachers. What a tremendous blessing and resource! There is a small cost of $10 for the event, which includes a lunch that will be available for all in attendance. We plan to limit the total attendance to 150 people, and we are advertising this event to folks in other churches as well, so I want to encourage you to sign up soon!
