Trunk or Treat
This year, since Halloween falls on a Wednesday, we thought it would be a good opportunity to redeem the holiday by hosting trunk or treat for the neighborhood, and AWANA kids. From 6:30-7:30 PM, we’ll be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters from the trunks of our cars. The idea is to decorate your trunk (with a non-scary theme), and provide a safe place for kids to enjoy the evening, and hopefully to hear about the love Christ has for them. We are looking for any parents who would like to help out by decorating their trunk! We’ve already got some confirmations of a few people who can, but we’d love to have more. It’d be a great opportunity to plan it with your student! Seriously, have some fun with this, get creative with your students! If you can help, please volunteer here. For the rest of the youth group, we’ll be doing wordless book face-painting, hosting some carnival games, and sharing the love of Christ with those that come! Please consider helping as a family if you have the night available! Afterwards, from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm, we’ll enjoy some cider together, play some games, and continue to generally redeem the day!
